NetGuard Security Solutions provides best in class security solutions to safeguard homes and offices throughout the upper Midwest.  Whether it is card access, IP Security cameras, or fire and burglary alarm systems, NetGuard’s security consultants will design, deploy and support a solution to provide the safety and security our customers need, with the freedom and flexibility they can trust. We’re currently seeking an experienced security professional to join our Eau Claire-based team.  Candidates should be self-starters with 2 years of proven security, structured cabling, IP addressing and networking skills and experience.


Essential Job Functions and Required Skills

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


Ability to install and configure Access Control, IP and Analog Video, Hardwired and Wireless Burglar Alarm Systems.

Ability to identify, understand and utilize basic networking equipment and practices to complete necessary job functions.

Ability to interpret specifications as indicated in work order to complete the installation of work.

Ability to understand and utilize blueprints, construction drawings, schematic wiring diagrams and specifications.

Ability to utilize a variety of hand tools and specialty equipment with proficiency.

Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices.

Tests and troubleshoots installed systems following company protocols.

Must be capable of handling challenging and stressful situations without decreasing productivity.

Must ensure worksite is well organized during installation and clean up after completion of the job.

Provide necessary end user training for customers and their designees.

Excellent ability to communicate with clients and coworkers alike; positive communication creates an encouraging and supportive atmosphere. Strong customer service skills are required.

Document time and details properly.

Must adhere to the NetGuard professional dress code as discussed in the employee handbook.

Must be able to travel, as needed.

Multitasking and detail oriented skills are imperative.

All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Project or Service Manager specific to the operation of daily business functions.



High School Graduate or GED is required. Technical or college degree in related field preferred.

A minimum of 2 years of proven security, structured cabling, IP addressing and networking skills and experience.

Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State where the wok is performed.

Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

The employee will be required to carry and climb ladders, carry and pull spools of wire and hang equipment on walls using hand and power tools. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.


Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranges from $35,000 – $55,000 per year based on experience and performance.
